Ihidero, is surely a happy man as his 2012 rape-themed short movie, Big Daddy,

has been a recipient of nine award nominations from three different awards body

since it was released in mid 2012.

The most

said in his interview: “We are very happy and grateful to AMAA for the

nomination. This is Big Daddy’s 9th nomination in less than a year and we have

only entered it for 3 awards. It’s amazing how a labour of love has become the

gift that keeps giving back. I’ll forever be grateful for all the amazing

support we got from friends and associates, which made the dream come true and

of course eternal gratitude to Amaka Igwe who allowed me to dream and continues

to give me 100% backing”.

Director also hopes that the short movie has a profound effect on its audience.

The

film changes the thoughts of just a few people towards rape, we would have

achieved our aim. Rape is epidemic in our society and we need to do something

meaningful to stop it, fast,” he said.
