Azealia Banks Plans 2 Albums For 2013 (VIDEO)

In a recent interview, rap newcomer Azealia Banks sits down to discuss plans for her new music, and what she plans to do if she decides to stop rapping.

At the young age of 21-years-old, Banks has already placed a firm grasp on her talent as a rapper, earning her universal critical acclaim for both her May 2012 EP, "1991" and her "Fantasea" mixtape two months following. Banks will release her full-length debut album, "Broke with Expensive Taste" in February 2013, but she reveals that this LP may not be the only release from her next year: "If I have things my way, if the universe allows me to do things the way that I want to do them, I want to get two albums out in 2013."

After her new projects, she mentions that she wants to still be innovative and wishes to "not necessarily take a break, but do some more sound research and come up with a different style."

On eventually quitting rapping:

"I’d eventually like to stop rapping. You know, that’s just the honest truth. Like, one day I just don’t want to rap anymore just because…I mean, it’s easy but it’s kind of tacky and I think it’s very unladylike. I like it, but I think I’m going to get tired of it."

What would Banks do after quitting rapping?

She says that she would, perhaps, go back to school, but insists that she "will always be loyal to music." Continuing with her vocal lessons and performing contemporary jazz are a couple more options, she concludes.
