Actor Chiwetalu Agu has a strong message for those who want Igbos to leave the north

- For Chiwetalu Agu, any Hausa person who wants the Igbos to leave the North has only one fate awaiting him - hunger

- The actor revealed this and other things in a recent interview

- He also spoke on the Igbos are God’s own people

Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu has reacted to the quit notice given to Igbo people by some youths from the northern part of the country.

Speaking in a recent interview, Chiwetalu Agu warned the Hausas and Fulani saying if Igbos leave, the northerners will die of hunger.

“You the northerners, where were you when Igbos were building hotels and different things? Where were you, people? You people were asleep, busy eating money gotten from Niger Delta and you have the mouth to say Igbos should leave. If it is done that way, Hunger will kill you people,” he told Ugwimba TV in his native Igbo language.

He further added that other tribes should take it easy with the Igbos because they are the people of God.

“Whatever they want to do to the Igbos, this country Nigeria, let them do. But I want to warn the Hausas, the Fulanis and others, take it easy. Because when the fire of God that burns comes, it will roast all of you. If you want to know who you are oppressing, compare us to the Israelites. We are the people of God. Pharaoh was begged to leave the Israelites to go, Pharaoh refused, what happened later?”
