- Juliet Ibrahim has come under fire from Nigerians again
- The actress is being dragged because of an award
- She was recently named as a Goodwill Ambassador for Nigeria despite being a Ghanaian
When Juliet Ibrahim received word that she had been nominated to receive a Nigerian Goodwill Ambassador award, she must have been elated. But the reactions of some Nigerians to that award will have made her sad.
A statement released by the award organizers explained that the awards which cuts across over 30 categories, would be given to selected nominees for their contributions to peace building and development in Nigeria, especially in recent times.
Perhaps Juliet’s constant presence in Nigeria (in recent times) is what made her a candidate to receive the award or perhaps the organizers forgot that she was Ghanaian.
However, many Nigerians had a different opinion saying the fact that she was a Ghanaian has disqualified her from even being nominated for an award that had Nigeria in the title.
