- It appears Davido and Wizkid have started beefing each other again
- Whatever truce they had appears to have disappeared
- These two are still battling for supremacy in the Nigerian industry
Two of Nigeria’s most popular musicians at the moment Davido and Wizkid are at it again. The two appeared to have re-ignited their beef.
Davido fired the first shots after he posted on his Snapchat account that “Na pon pon sounds dey reign now. All other sounds na d least for now.”
Many took this to be directed at Wizkid who is set to release his Sounds From The Other Side EP sometime in July. Not one to run away from a fight, Wizkid responded by saying “The game is only for the real, catch up or stay local.”
Meanwhile, Davido is also being sued by the organizers of beauty pageant The Nigerian Queen. In a statement written by Churchill Eneh who wrote on behalf of the organizers of the show, and made available to NAIJ.com, Davido via his manager Asa Asika agreed that N5million would be paid for Davido to perform alongside other guest acts like Funke Akindele Bello and Styl Plus at the 9th edition of The Nigerian Queen which held on Saturday, June 10th in Port-Harcourt.

Davido allegedly confirmed his appearance and also instructed the organizer to pay return flight tickets for 6 persons for his 8:45am trip to Port-Harcourt. Later at an extra cost, the flight was again re-booked for 4:50pm of the same date.
However, Churchill was shocked when about 2:30pm he received a call from Davido’s agent that he (Davido) had withdrawn from the event without any reason. As a result, the organizers were forced, at an extra and exorbitant cost of N2.5million, to hurriedly arrange for another artiste, Adekunle Gold to save their face.
As a result of their humiliation at the hands of Davido and his team, the show organizers are demanding for the sum of N20million as damages.
