It’s not hard to see why everyone loves 2baba Idibia. Apart from his music, the legendary musician is well loved for his efforts in helping the downtrodden in the society.
NAIJ.com had previously reported on how he donated the sum of N3.5 million to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in February 2017. Well, he has shown he has a heart of gold again.

This time, he has pledged to always support the well-being of internally displaced persons (IDPs). He also promised to give a portion of the returns of an unreleased song to the IDPs.
“I have decided to dedicate my time, resources and my voice to support the UNHCR in this massive endeavor of alleviating the sufferings of displaced persons,” he said on a recent visit to the UNHCR offices.
“On the 20 June which is the World Refugee Day, I am going to be commissioning a song and this song will be monetized,” he added.
2Baba spoke about generating awareness of the plight of those forcefully displaced from their homes. The ‘humble’ singer insisted that more could be done to assist the homeless, saying “people who have not been hit directly downplay the situation”.
