The horrific lynching of Ghanaian Army Captain Maxwell Mahama by a mob at Denkyira Boase in the Central Region is still eliciting reactions from all who have heard about the story.
Many have condemned the killing labeling it unfortunate while others are still mourning his loss. One celebrity who has joined in mourning the late soldier is popular actor John Dumelo.
Dumelo visited the home of the Mahama’s where he commiserated with members of the family present and he also signed the condolence register.

Meanwhile, seven more suspects linked to the atrocity have been arrested by the police. However, people living in the community were the horrific act was carried out especially the men were running from the Central Region to the Western and Brong Ahafo regions.
Police say five of them were picked up at Asankragwa in the Western Region while the remaining two were picked up at Techiman in Brong Ahafo. Also emotions are high among soldiers at Burma Camp in Accra. The soldiers threatened retribution at a recent durbar in Accra when the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Obed Akwa engaged them.
