Following Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe’s ordeal with battery, Nigerians have been airing their thoughts on the issue and the need for couples to respect themselves.
Ebube Nwagbo, a Nollywood actress has come out openly to state her stand about the issue of men hitting women. According to the pretty lady, no man has the right to touch a woman.
NAIJ.com gathered that the star who also runs a successful business dedicated her time to talk on the issue using her Snapchat as the perfect medium to reach out to people.
Bemused by the things women endure in the name of marriage, the vibrant lady wondered what makes women remain in abusive relationships and marriages.
The lady’s thoughts were in line with Juliet Ibrahim’s opinion on the forms of abuses. She mentioned that emotional and verbal abuse affect women as it is a part of domestic violence.
Similarly, Kenny Saint Best, a Nigerian singer, also spoke extensively on the issue. The sensational singer said women keep quiet over the matter as many of them are forgiving when the men come back apologising and bearing gifts.
Brown who had been a victim of domestic violence stated that no one is immune to it. She validated her point by saying some pastors beat their wives too while the women are forced to mask their faces with makeup on Sundays.

The singer listed alcohol as the major reason some men misbehave and hit their partners. She believes that men who can stay away from alcohol will be more reasonable and would not have the courage to hit their wives even though they drive them nuts.
