- Nigerian couple and former NYSC members Mairo and Jennifer went viral for their NYSC inspired pre-wedding shoot
- The couple has opened up to NAIJ.com about their unique and inspiring love story
Former NYSC members Mairo and Jennifer set the internet ablaze with their fun and romantic pre-wedding photos taken in their NYSC uniforms by photographer B2k Montage.
Their photos were able to grab attention online but their sweet love story, which started from a little white lie, will definitely capture hearts everywhere.
Speaking to NAIJ.com, Mairo told us about their love story and journey together. Mario said: "My name is Itimi Oghenemairo and my fiancée is Jennifer Otewu. She's into decoration and cake designs while I'm the assistant director of St. Bridget Academy in Warri, Delta."
"We've been dating for about years now and we will be celebrating four years anniversary in June. We were already dating during our NYSC days and thought it would be cool to snap a pre-wedding with the corp member uniform."
"We actually met at a wedding where she was presenting a cake she designed. After the wedding I walked up to her and asked for her digits. I lied to her that my brother was getting married and that I wanted her to bake his wedding cake. I actually wanted her for me."
"I knew she was the one about two years into our relationship. She has always been my backbone she's been supportive and very understanding. She's the only woman on earth that understands me."
"I proposed to her on d 15th of February this year. I had plans to propose on Valentine's day but my flight was delayed so when we finally saw the next day, I told her I was taking her out for dinner by the pool side."
"Unknown to her, all her friends where already there waiting. As we arrived and were walking towards the seats, I asked her if she really thinks she can spend her whole life with me and she said yes. Then I went on my knees and brought out the ring and she gladly accepted!"

Their relationship and the future
"I actually love everything about her. Every relationship has its ups and downs, challenges here and there but the ability to work things out together without a third party getting involved is what has brought us this far. We are both best friends."
"When we get married together we will break new grounds because we have many business ideas that we want to start up , and with God everything will work out."
NAIJWeddings wishes them a successful wedding and happy marriage.
