- Many feel religion is doing more harm than good in Nigeria's polity
- They also think the growing number of places of worship in the country should reflect positive change but sadly, this is not the case
- Popular musician Ruggedman is one of such people
According to data released by The Pew Research Center, Nigeria has the largest Christian population of any country in Africa, with more than 85 million persons in Nigeria belonging to the church with various denominations.
Muslims according to a 2001 report from The World Factbook by CIA make up about 50% of Nigeria's population while 7.0 percent are members of other religious groups. All these and more point to the fact that Nigeria is a very religious country.
But for popular musician Ruggedman, the amount of churches in Nigeria is enough to lead the country to heaven. He made this known via a comment he posted on a live video made by popular radio OAP and #Freethesheeple leader Freeze.
Freeze has built a following for himself as a result of his messages against the nefarious activities of some Pentecostal pastors. Perhaps Ruggedman thinks that religion is doing more harm than good in Nigeria.
