Migos come under fire for insulting Nigerians

- When American rap group Migos performed in Lagos last year, they described their performance as amazing

- All over the world, many were surprised at the reaction Migos got

- But a recent interview they granted has overturned the goodwill they enjoyed from Nigerians

What was a normal interview for American rap group Migos was seen as an insult to Nigeria as a country, NAIJ.com gathered.

Migos, who have constantly said that one of the best places they have performed in their lives was in Lagos, ruined their reputation by unknowingly throwing shots at Nigeria.

Asked in a recent interview about how they felt about their performance in Nigeria, Offset, one of the group members said: “The performance was amazing and we were surprised because Nigeria is basically a third world country with a lot of struggles which one sees daily.”

This didn’t infuriate Nigerians.

But then Offset said “On the streets, everyone was following us and they sang our lyrics word for word and their English wasn’t that good." That was when Nigerians felt insulted.

Most took to social media to slam Migos saying they are the ones who cannot speak English.
