Despite the lawsuit against her by her former husband Maje Ayida, media personality Toke Makinwa is currently in the US on her book tour.

On Tuesday, April 11, the OAP revealed that she did self-prescription because she was having cramps thinking she was taking just a pain killer. Unknown to her, there are more to the drug than she had thought. She had swallowed the drug before reading through the warnings written on it and noticed she has used the wrong drug which is making her feel dizzy on a day she had many things to do.

In her words, she said:

“Mother nature decided to show up and I thought I was taking painkillers and I thought I would take this to sort out the camping, after I swallowed it, I just decided to read through [warnings] Jesus, I am already feeling dizzy.”

A look at the drug revealed it was Advil PM which was to be taken at night. The product specification also revealed that it may cause severe allergic reactions which include hives, facial swelling and more aside making her dizzy.

The moral of her telling this she said is for her fans not to do self-prescription and also read through all drug if they had to before swallowing them.

Despite her good purpose of going to Snapchat to warn her friends and fans of the danger involved in self-prescription, Makinwa was greeted with backlashes.

“With all her exposure, she cant be that ignorant to take drug without dosage direction at least! And from reading the dosage direction im sure the function is written close by for her to read. Oh well ! What do i know? Lemme leave before voltrons that insinuate every comment thats not “kiss *ss” must be a hate comment, come for me!” said Instagrammer @vivianokike.
