American bride Elaine Scott had not-so-traditional white wedding ceremony when she and her husband Nick Scott's rings were unavailable at the wedding.
The couple unfortunately had to get married regardless. The incident happened because Elaine's mother-in-law put the ring boxes on her car and accidentally drove off.
Elaine spoke to DailyMail saying: "I gave our rings to her (Nick's mother) and asked her to hold on to them. My husband told me his mother hadn't realised until he asked her for the rings, and she looked pale, like she'd seen a ghost. As she raced towards the car, I thought something had happened to my children."
"I asked what was going on and she told me she didn't know were the rings were. Then she hopped in the car and we drove back to our house, just a few blocks away, to look for them."
The rings were not found so the couple carried on without them and used Elaine's engagement ring and an uncle's wedding band during the ceremony.

Luckily, the rings were recovered days later. Elaine said: "A girl from Chile had been visiting a friend in Cromwell when she found the box on the street on Sunday so she dropped it in on Monday. I can't describe how relieved I was. We had a coffee together then I went home - it was the first time that I cried."
