The Inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States is set to hold later today and the event hasn’t been without controversy.
Most of the controversy stems from the list of musicians that will perform at the ceremony. In fact superstars like Sir Elton John and Celine Dion have publicly turned down invitations to perform for the incoming president.
Popular rapper Snoop Dogg even went ahead to release a video threatening to ‘roast’ any black musician that dares to perform at the ceremony. Watch it below:
However, this hasn’t stopped some musicians from agreeing to perform for Mr Trump. More surprising is the fact that 3 black musicians will be performing. This is surprising following the black community’s disapproval of Mr Trump as U.S President.
Chrisette Michelle and Travis Greene are the black musicians that will perform later today at the event. Veteran musician Sam Moore has already performed at an earlier ceremony for the inauguration.
