Good news has already started rolling in for Nigerian musicians. This morning, fast rising act Mohammed Animashaun aka Moelogo was listed among 21 musicians who will benefit from a British government fund worth £250,000 (about N95million using N381 official conversion rate).

If you are wandering how a Nigerian musician managed to get his name on the list of lucky musicians who are to share the money, know that Moelogo is primarily based in the U.K even though he recently returned to Nigeria.

The funds are part the U.K government’s effort to support independent artistes in their country. Moelogo recently released his critically acclaimed EP titled Ireti.
